Worldchefs Congress 2020
The Australian Culinary Federation announces successful bid for the Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2020

The Australian Culinary Federation has been announced that they have been successful in bidding for the Worldchefs Congress & Expo in 2020.

Of the original 12 submissions of interest, they topped the list with 33/35 of the selection criteria. The second round will see them go up against Lyon & St Petersberg in Greece where they will do a 10 minute presentation to the 2016 congress delegates.

President Neil Abrahams says Sydney is perfectly positioned to host the event. “Australia is a popular tourist destination; we have a strong food culture; we have the support of government and our members are keen to welcome chefs from around the world. Also by 2020 we will have a brand new convention centre located right on Sydney Harbour.”

The Worldchefs Congress informed the ACF, “On behalf of President Charles Carroll, the Worldchefs board of directors and the congress committee, we would like to congratulate you and your team for your excellent bid document. We are very excited about having such a great candidate bidding for the Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2020 and we thank you for all the time and efforts you are investing to hopefully welcome our family of chefs in your city.”

If you are intending to travel to Greece for the 2016 Congress please register with the ACF office to keep informed on the Committees lobbying plans.
