HTN has recently coordinated the annual HTN Youth Skills Showcase at TAFE NSW Ryde Campus. The event provided an opportunity for HTN apprentice chefs to showcase their culinary talents by preparing a special dinner menu for 100 industry VIP’s. HTN Apprentice Chef Jessica York was ecstatic to be named the 2018 recipient of the prestigious HTN Peter Howard AM Culinary Scholarship.

The scholarship named in honour of HTN’s Patron Mr Peter Howard AM, will provide Jessica with $5,000 cash and flights to either Britain or China. The 2018 AAFP Margaret Fulton Foodservice Professional Scholarship was awarded to Australian School Based Apprentice Chef and Southern Cross Catholic Vocational College student Jonathan Lee who received $1,000 cash and a trip to a capital City for a week’s paid word experience in a leading Hotel or Restaurant.
